1. Why Calgary?
I’ve travelled a fair bit, but Calgary will always be home for me. It’s family, friends, the opportunities available and the mountains next door.

2. Favourite Calgary past-time or activity?
I love to ride my bicycle ‘Minty’ around town – it’s a great way to get some exercise and see the sights!

3. What do you tell your friends and family from other cities about life in Calgary?
I love that Calgary is a big city with a bit of that small town connection still. It’s busy with lots of things to visit and see without being overwhelmed with masses of people. I live in the inner city, but it often still feels like a quiet residential neighborhood.

4. Where do you take friends and family when they visit?
I take my friends down to Inglewood so we can eat, shop and explore. There are tons of great local businesses in the neighborhood like Plant, The Livery, Outside the Shape and more. Plus the addition of the craft breweries makes it a really fun pit stop too.

5. What do you think is the biggest surprise about Calgary for anyone who isn’t familiar with the city?
There’s a lot more to Calgary than cowboys and country music! One of my favourite events is Beakerhead, a science and arts festival that is so just so cool and fun. Beakernight is a must-see for me every year so I can ooh and aah over the displays and festivities.
