This 10-day festival is the greatest outdoor show on Earth and was ranked one of the top parties in the world by CNN. 1. The Rodeo
Featuring the world’s best rodeo athletes and the finest stock, the Calgary Stampede Rodeo is definitely a must-see! Competitors from around the world display skill and grit each afternoon at 1:30 p.m. and for the evening show, nine heats of four chuckwagons each take place nightly at 7:45 p.m.
2. A Global Variety of Food
Each year a new variety of crazy-delicious food options from around the globe is featured at the Stampede Midway! Past favourite food features have included velvet chicken strips, dragon dogs, scorpion pizza, and mini-donut popsicles! What will you test your taste buds with this year?

10. Parade Day!
Perfect for family fun, the famous Calgary Stampede Parade kicks off the 10-day celebration on the first Friday of Stampede around 7:30 a.m. in Calgary’s downtown core. The parade begins at the intersection of 1rst Street and 9th Avenue SE, goes down 9th Avenue to the intersection with 10th Street SW, where it then crosses over to 6th Avenue SW and finishes at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 1rst Street SE. Be sure to check out the parade route map well in advance so that you can scope out a good viewing spot!
