The meeting point will be: Original Joe’s (1220 Kensington Road NW) at 10:30 am if you want to come for brunch or 11:30 am if you just want to walk around Kensington and shoot (I mean photo shooting).

I was at the first #yycphotowalk and met a great group of people and had great fun.

Here is a sample of the pictures that I took during the first #yycphotowalk.

I took the picture below while walking around 7th Avenue SW and you can see the white structure connecting two different buildings. That’s part of the Plus 15 network.

The Plus 15 network is of great help when it is pretty cold outside.

If you work in downtown Calgary you must have already used the Plus 15 network to avoid having to walk outdoors when the weather is not great and you probably already know how to go from point A to point B as quick as possible but if you just arrived in Calgary or if you are planning to visit the city you may want to check the Plus 15 network map made available by the City of Calgary in PDF format as it may help get around downtown without having to cope with some cold weather.

Please note that you may have to download the free Adobe Acrobat reader software in case your machine and web browser are not properly configured already to allow you to read / print a PDF file.
The Plus 15 network is a series of enclosed bridges at approximately 15 feet above street level that connect several buildings in the Calgary downtown core. You can walk for kilometers without having to step outside.
