It’s pretty cold today

As I write this the windchill factor is at -35 C and that is pretty cold.

If you don’t live in Canada and have to idea what that means I suggest the following experiment: Stick your head into your freezer and think of something 3 times colder than that as your freezer probably does not go below -10 to -15.

What do you do?

Well, assuming you have to go out my suggestion is that you dress as warm as possible and pay very good attention to the transit schedule in case you depend on buses or the LRT to go wherever you need to go. It’s important to minimize exposure to the cold and the less you spend waiting for a bus at the bus stop the better.

The other suggestion is to try to engage into some physical activity. If you have a gym membership or can buy a day swimming pool pass to one of the community centres then it’s a good day to do so. This will help you keep your body in good shape.

Hopefully the cold won’t stay around much longer.

Be safe out there and drive carefully.

Drunk driving

It’s sad to see lives taken away and lives destroyed because somebody had too much to drink and decided that driving was a good idea.

Why people can’t take a cab or ask somebody to come to pick them up? Why is this so complicated?
